2015 Joint Summit

Addressing Health Equity through Research, Policy and Systems Change

This first time event brings together researchers, educators, and practitioners from three successful Centers at the University of New Mexico, along with elected officials and their representatives and other key leaders concerned about the human and financial costs of New Mexico’s high rates of chronic disease, obesity, child abuse, substance abuse and other health disparities. The purpose of this summit is to forge a consortium that includes our three centers and other partners to address and advance New Mexico’s health status through prevention, policy, and practice. We are excited to bring together examples of outstanding and successful efforts underway to move New Mexico forward and for all participants to connect with one another as a resource.
