Group Session: Perspectives on Historical Trauma
A topic discussion led by
Joseph Gone, PhD: Associate Professor of Psychology & American Culture
University of Michigan, Ann Arbor

and
Chairman Joe Garcia: Chairman of the All Indian Pueblo Council
Former President of the National Congress of American Indians.
He is from Ohkay Owingeh (formerly known as San Juan Pueblo) in New Mexico, where he has served as the Governor of his people since 1995.
Joe Garcia Graduated from the University of New Mexico with an electrical engineering degree.  He was a Senior Engineer at Los Alamos working in Weapons Research
and
Ken Lucero: Director of the Center for Native American Health Policy
Former Tribal Administrator for the Pueblo and general tribal council member for the Pueblo of Zia.

Other participants include New Connections Grantees and alumni who work in Native American Communities.
