Steven Verney, PhD, is a Professor with the Department of Psychology.
He is interested in the role that culture plays in how we think. My graduate students and I are currently investigating such topics as FASD, alcohol use and consequences in ethnic populations; the effects of acculturation in cognitive ability testing; culture-fair neuropsychological testing in older veterans; ethnic experiences of depression and cognition; PTSD and cognition.
