Biography 

Robert Foley, M.Ed., serves as the Public Health Communications and Program Manager where is he is honored to work on HIV, methamphetamine, and suicide prevention projects. Prior to joining NIHB, Mr. Foley served as the President/CEO of the National Native American AIDS Prevention Center (NNAAPC) where he managed programs delivering technical assistance and training to Native communities combating HIV. Mr. Foley has also worked as a training specialist with the National Network of Prevention Training Centers and as a research assistant with the Tri-Ethnic Center for Prevention Research at Colorado State University (CSU). He earned his BA and M.Ed. from CSU.

Research Interests 

Robert Foley, M.Ed. is currently the Acting Director of Public Health Programs and Policy with the National Indian Health Board. There, he oversees programs providing technical assistance, training, resource brokering and information dissemination services on methamphetamine, suicide and HIV prevention, as well as Tribal public health accreditation. Mr. Foley works with Tribal, national, Area and local level stakeholders to assess and elevate the Tribal public health platform in hopes to secure resources to support Tribal efforts. Previously, Mr. Foley worked with the National Native American AIDS Prevention Center (NNAAPC) where he managed programs delivering technical assistance and training to Native communities combating HIV. Previously, Mr. Foley worked as a training specialist with the National Network of Prevention Training Centers where he worked within a sixteen state region to deliver trainings on HIV/STD evidence-based prevention and requisite skills. Prior, he was a research assistant with the Tri-Ethnic Center for Prevention Research at Colorado State University where he examined substance use and domestic violence prevention in rural, ethnic, and tribal communities. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling and studying his family's genealogy.
